Shawn, Carla and Maverick Estes

The Estes family moved from South Central Kentucky to South Texas in December of 2007, to work in Reynosa, Mexico and the Rio Grande Valley.  The whole family has a desire to see people come to know the Lord and grow in their Christian walk.  The pastors and their families in Reynosa have become a big part of their lives. Shawn and Carla seek to encourage and empower them to continue in God’s calling.

“We can’t imagine life without our friends in Mexico and the Rio Grande Valley.  They have been a huge blessing to us!”  ~ The Estes Family

Stephanie Stokes

Stephanie is a volunteer with Project Fortify. After serving in Reynosa for two summers, she moved from the Dallas area in 2012. Her heart is to simply serve people of the Rio Grande Valley and Reynosa. She has had the opportunity to serve as a full-time educator in the Valley since 2013. As a teacher, she desires to use education as a way to build relationships and disciple students. From teaching students in the classroom to joining teams in Mexico, Stephanie desires to serve people around her and help them grow in Christ.

Matthew Sasser

Matthew served with Project Fortify in June of 2015 through our Summer Focus Internship Program.  Matthew fell in love with the ministry here. He returned home to Kentucky to raise support in order to move to the Rio Grande Valley to serve with Project Fortify full-time.  Matthew moved in June of 2017 to serve with Fortify and to attend Language School.  He has a love for kids and a willing heart to serve in whatever capacity needed.

Sara and Justin Martin

Justin and Sara first served with Project Fortify in 2016. They quickly fell in love with the people of Reynosa and the Rio Grande Valley. Both Justin and Sara felt this was the place they needed to be, so they made the move from Tennessee to southern Texas in October of 2017. Justin and Sara have a passion to serve the people of Reynosa and the RGV. One of their favorite things to do is to build relationships and then to build those people up in Christ. They are both currently attending Language School, so they can better reach and connect with people throughout the areas.

Yesterday we had a fun-filled Sunday with Horeb Baptist Church in Reynosa. The children decorated Christmas ornaments and the youth went to the movie theater after service. We love being able to serve and partner with this church. Thankful for the blessing of shoes to giveaway at the dump this month! Thanks Bruce and Paula for sharing your donations with us! #projectfortifyreynosa #GivingTuesday is a great way to partner with Project Fortify and share the love of Christ in Reynosa, Mexico and the Rio Grande Valley. Everyone can impact the Kingdom and make a difference.
Give now at Here at Project Fortify we strive to encourage, empower, and equip. As Christians, we are to bring out the treasure hidden in the earthly vessels we teach, train and feed. It takes equipping to ensure they have the necessary tools and knowledge needed to serve God successfully and find their place in the Body of Christ. It takes empowering to release the people into the place of God’s calling. It takes encouraging them that they have what it takes and are “complete in Him” to fulfill their purposes. “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3:16-17‬
