This past week has been super busy!  Our very first team arrived Friday, Sept 28 and hit the ground running!  We served at the homeless shelter by painting one of the dormitories, the team provided food for everyone there and served them a meal.  Also, the team shared the gospel at the local dump in Reynosa and served over 100 hot dogs, chips and tea to those working there sorting thru trash.  On Sunday, we worshiped with our brothers and sisters at Disciples of Christ Baptist Church and had a wonderful meal afterwards!  Monday and Tuesday we served at Pilar de Esperanza orphanage.  The women cleaned, the men put in an irrigation system for the garden and the teenagers helped out in the classrooms.  The team also held a cookout for the kids and tie dyed t-shirts!  Their servant hearts also extended help to New Life Advance Ministries here in the valley.  They helped paint one of the buildings on their property.

This team was not only a huge blessing to all the ministries we work with in Mexico but they were a great encouragement to us here at Project Fortify!  Thanks for serving and sharing God’s love in a powerful way!!

Yesterday we had a fun-filled Sunday with Horeb Baptist Church in Reynosa. The children decorated Christmas ornaments and the youth went to the movie theater after service. We love being able to serve and partner with this church. Thankful for the blessing of shoes to giveaway at the dump this month! Thanks Bruce and Paula for sharing your donations with us! #projectfortifyreynosa #GivingTuesday is a great way to partner with Project Fortify and share the love of Christ in Reynosa, Mexico and the Rio Grande Valley. Everyone can impact the Kingdom and make a difference.
Give now at projectfortify.org/donate Here at Project Fortify we strive to encourage, empower, and equip. As Christians, we are to bring out the treasure hidden in the earthly vessels we teach, train and feed. It takes equipping to ensure they have the necessary tools and knowledge needed to serve God successfully and find their place in the Body of Christ. It takes empowering to release the people into the place of God’s calling. It takes encouraging them that they have what it takes and are “complete in Him” to fulfill their purposes. “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3:16-17‬
