This past week from May 31- June 5, we had the privilege of working with students from the University of Memphis and Austin Peay State University.  We are so grateful for this team giving up a week of summer to come and help us serve the ministries we work with in Reynosa.  On Sunday, we were able to minister with Jorge Mar and his ministry Iluminando.  His ministry focuses on helping kids with cancer and disabilities and their families.  We held an event at a local place in Reynosa with a swimming pool for the kids to swim.  The team helped us by playing games with the kids, making crafts, painting their faces and fingernails.  We also had a photo booth for the families.  Around twenty families showed up, we provided a meal for them and a basket full of hygiene products, rice and beans.  The youth from Horeb Baptist Church joined us to put on a puppet show for the kids. On Monday and Tuesday we served at Pilar de Esperanza Orphanage digging a trench for a new tire shop, weed eating, painting and helping with a water leak. We also played soccer and had a water ballon fight with the kids.  Lots of fun!!  On Wednesday, we served at Horeb Baptist Church by painting the outside of the church, as well as mudding the drywall and sanding.

We were so blessed by this team, their hearts of service and hard working attitudes! Thanks so much!  Also, thank you to all who are supporting and praying for us!

Yesterday we had a fun-filled Sunday with Horeb Baptist Church in Reynosa. The children decorated Christmas ornaments and the youth went to the movie theater after service. We love being able to serve and partner with this church. Thankful for the blessing of shoes to giveaway at the dump this month! Thanks Bruce and Paula for sharing your donations with us! #projectfortifyreynosa #GivingTuesday is a great way to partner with Project Fortify and share the love of Christ in Reynosa, Mexico and the Rio Grande Valley. Everyone can impact the Kingdom and make a difference.
Give now at Here at Project Fortify we strive to encourage, empower, and equip. As Christians, we are to bring out the treasure hidden in the earthly vessels we teach, train and feed. It takes equipping to ensure they have the necessary tools and knowledge needed to serve God successfully and find their place in the Body of Christ. It takes empowering to release the people into the place of God’s calling. It takes encouraging them that they have what it takes and are “complete in Him” to fulfill their purposes. “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3:16-17‬
