Our team from Creekside Community Church, in Colorado, left behind the snow to come serve along side us this October. With both familiar and new faces, we set out to Reynosa to serve together for the week. We began our week at Pilar de Esperanza, serving there for two days. Our team of five painted the kitchen, dug post holes for a new fence, served lunch to the children and spent time doing crafts with them. Some of the older girls even prepared and served lunch for the team on Wednesday! The children were grateful for the team being there this week and for providing the crafts and activities.

On Thursday, Creekside Community’s team went shopping at a local store and bought groceries for Iluminando. We assembled buckets packed with food and hygiene products to be given to families that Jorge, director or Iluminando, ministers to. We were able to visit with a couple of families as well! One of the families was in need of having the bathroom floor replaced and we were able to take care of this need for them! We love building relationships and praying with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

On Friday, we headed to serve at the Dump Ministry. We handed out 180 hot dog lunches along with packages of beans and rice to the people. Pastor Jaime lead a devotion to feed their spiritual needs as well. The week before, we met a young pregnant woman at the dump who asked us if we had a baby carrier. Before we knew this need, God had blessed us with a baby carrier donated this summer! Because God always provides, we were able to bring  a baby carrier for the woman this week.

We are amazed to see how God continues to provide and we love being able to experience it with teams as they serve with us. Our team from Creekside Community Church was able to minister this week through love and giving. It’s a blessing to see people who have established relationships through the years from coming down and serving. We love to see those relationships continue to grow through weeks like this week.
