Over Fall Break, a group of 18 from Coral Hill Baptist Church came down to serve with us. The team served a meal at the dump and passed out bags of hygiene products along with New Testaments. They also held a “Block Party” for the kids in the colonia of Nuevo Mexico at Horeb Baptist Church. The team shared the Gospel, played games, made balloon animals, painted faces and fingernails, did a craft with the kids and fed them hot dogs and chips. While the kids were “partying” there were several adults that attended as well and Pastor Jonatan shared the Gospel with them too! Two adults and four children made professions of faith that night! The team also served at Pilar of Hope Orphanage for two days. They poured concrete, cleaned, helped with laundry and grilled hamburgers for the kids and staff! Each afternoon, the team had activities prepared for the kids. One really neat thing this team did was that they helped the kids paint small canvases for the patients at the State Nursing Facility. It was neat watching the kids create something to give to someone else. I know the patients will enjoy looking at the paintings created by the kids!
Thanks so much for helping us meet the physical and spiritual needs of the people in Reynosa!
